I'm Back!!!

I don't even know where to begin...it has been so long since my last post.  I'm not going to bore anyone with the details...Life happens!!!  And, even though I didn't post about it, I was doing something that I love!!!

About a week or two ago, my daughter asked me about my Copic markers.  She's 12 and she loves to color.  I have never allowed anyone to use my Copics and my family knows not to mess with them...My Precious!!!  Well...I must be getting soft in my old age, because I got the markers down from their dusty shelf and showed my daughter how to color with them.  We spent several hours stamping and coloring and talking and laughing together!!!  I had forgotten just how much joy coloring brings me.  So...here we are today...my Copic markers are sitting on my desk and I have been coloring my little heart out.  I have had to pause or change color choices due to a few of my markers being nearly dry or needing a good cleaning.  I decided to go through all of my markers and refill or fix the ones that needed some love.  I ended up replacing a couple of the brush tips, but after watching a YouTube video, I figured out that I probably didn't need to replace them.  I don't remember who posted the video (they should get all the credit), but I put the gunky brush tip in a small zip lock baggy with some colorless blender and let it sit overnight.  The brush tip was completely gunk free in the morning!  This method definitely saved me some brush tips.

Many years ago I put a binder together to catalog all my digital stamps.  My daughter found the binder and after picking out a couple of images, I went to my computer to print them out.  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to locate some of the images.  About a year ago my hard drive on my laptop died and I lost some of my files.  I didn't even realize some of my digi stamps had been lost until now.  What a bummer :(

I have been so out of the loop, I didn't even realize one of my favorite digi stores closed down and most of the others have moved to Etsy.  I love Etsy!!!!  As you can guess, I did some shopping and found a new favorite...drum roll please...Amanda Jayne Designs!!!  Oh my goodness...Love Love Love!!!  I love coloring animals and her bunnies, donkeys, cows, and dragons are right up my alley!!!  I will try and post some pics of my finished card tomorrow.

Here are a few of the stamps my 12 year old daughter colored.  Not bad for her first time using Copics.  Stamps are from Mama Elephant - Pix's Favorites.  We love these stamps!!!
